Go...Italy? I beg to differ - go France. Zidane, the Godfather of French football, is a class act. And who do the Italians have? Luca Toni? And Totti? Remember what they did to our 9-man squad just weeks ago, and to your beloved Aussies.

I wholeheartedly agree, but I feel like cheering for France, by the very fact that it's France is wrong in principle. At least Italy gave us pizza. What has France given? Cigarettes and How to Surrender.
Let's give credit where credit is due. The Italians can surrender with the best of them. You've doubtless heard the joke about Italian army rifles for sale: They've never been used and only been dropped once.
I don't know who I'm going to root for yet. I don't like several members of France's squad, but I also despise several of the Italian players. I guess I'll just have to take comfort in the fact that I will certainly get to see someone I dislike crying over losing the World Cup final, so that'll be nice.
I'm actually more eagerly anticipating the game for third place between Portugal and Germany on Saturday.
I digress from everyone. I refuse to watch any more World Cup games because all the teams in it now are plonkers. Italy is part of the Axis of Evil, and France are just French and that's icky.
If it is not an Anglo-American soccer team, I could care less. There, I said it, sue me.
